We have started our Great American Road Trip, 5,000 miles of the Western United States. Call us crazy but we are tent-camping (no fancies here, not even running water in some spots) with our 3 1/2 year-old to some of the National Forests and Parks from Texas to California and Utah for 3 1/2 weeks. I’ll be sharing all the places that we visit along the way. So if you haven’t had a vacation yet, then have a stay-cation with us and enjoy the scenery.
Our first stop was Carlsbad, New Mexico to see Carlsbad Caverns. We decided Luke would probably not make the 3 hour trip through the entire cave, so we took the elevator to the bottom and did the 1 1/2 hour loop. Luke was in awe the entire time and took his flashlight throughout the cave to shine the way. We didn’t take our tripod in the cave with us, so we didn’t get too many pictures.
What an amazing trip you have planned! Can’t wait to see all of the great photos
Exciting trip for a 3.5 year old. Always a heartfelt feeling when watching a child experience something for the first time!. See you soon! Much Love and Safe Travels.
