Fabric, oh fabric, oh what will you be?
A wallet, a bag, or purse maybe?
I just received my first couple shipments of fabric. Oh, I am in L-O-V-E! The picture above is just a sampling of all the juicy colors and patterns I purchased. Now I just need to let the colors and patterns speak to me to decide what they will be made into. I am sure that a ruffle or two will be included in there somewhere. I heart all things with ruffles.
If there is a specific fabric designer that you heart, let me know in the comments. I am about to place another order for some more new designs and am always looking for suggestions from a fresh set of eyes. My go-to website is Hawthorne Threads. They have great service, low prices, and above all amazing fabric.
Keep checking back as I turn these stacks of fabric into something useful for everyday. Oh how I thoroughly enjoy the creative process.
I love Cath Kidston fabrics. http://www.cathkidston.co.uk
They make my heart sing! I really enjoy hand sewing, especially sewing bunting in pretty fabrics to hang from shelves, curtain poles, and anything that sits still long enough! Em (from BBTL) 🙂
I bet the Cath Kidston fabrics make really cute buntings, would be adorable in a little girl’s room.
These fabrics look like so much fun!
There is something wonderful about fabrics – the color, textures and combinations, just love it! I haven’t sewn in quite a while but I am always drawn to the site of a stack of fabric. Good luck with your projects.
I lovelove fabric! So beautiful, so many possibilities. I collect it on a regular basis!
I buy from several sites, but my favorite is Emma One Sock. The owner, Linda, has impeccable taste, and her listings take all of the guesswork out of what you are looking at.
I also buy all price points of fabric; it doesn’t have to be expensive for me to love it! I say this because my favorite of all time is Liberty Art Fabrics (Liberty of London), in particular the Tana Lawn, which is not inexpensive. It feels like heaven to the hand, drapes beautifully, and can be used for countless garments and craft projects perfectly.
I like your blog; you’re off to a great start!

Hi! I came over from BBTL. I sew, too and LOVE all these fabrics you’ve shared. My favorite designers are Amy Butler and AMH – but gosh there’s so much gorgeous fabric these days! Nice to meet you. Your blog looks nice.
Thanks for stopping by. My blog is definitely a work in progress, but I am learning so much through the BBTL course. I know what you mean about the amazing options of fabric out there. It’s almost brain overload sometimes.
Great look!
thanks for share!
